HA! I haven't done anything here! bwahahahahaha!
I should throw up a link to my comic tracker that I've been working on in the side menu.
Oh, and Roxxy made a nifty logo that I an going to eventually replace my current generic one with.

Just did some random stuff around the site that people probably won't really notice.

We had a really FUN wind storm a couple days ago. We didn't lose power for more then a couple seconds at a time (thank god for nice 900VA UPS on kitfox). It's always fun having to listen to UPSs aorund the house start screaming at you every couple minutes when getting hit by brown outs and such.
But that wasn't what I was posting this about. We have some neighbors up the street who have a car port that my friend's dad(previous owner of the house) put up for their RV that got smashed by a tree that came down in the storm. There was also a smaller part of a tree that came down in another neighbor's driveway (top part of a tree, mabie 3~4" thick).

Well, I got roxen-3.3 installed and running. Was a royal pain to get working, but it works, and that's what matters.

I never realized how handy the CGI perl module was. I've never really used it (yeah, I used to go all my CGI the hard way). Oh well, live and learn :)
Well, I'm still working on stuff. This post is mostly to just test to see that my new 'Add2DB' sub works :)
Oooo, I can edit stuff again now :)
Now to try it again!

Updated the 'About' section since there has been a change in servers and stuff like that.
Whee! Bought StarFox Adventures wednesday and started playing it atound 10pm that night, beat the game last night after clocking in a little over 17 hours. The only thing I was disappointed in was the final boss was the EXACT same as in the previous SF games.
I also found out about the Phoenix Project and so far I like it. :)

Well, I did some more playing around with scripts here, the two links in the sidebar are now randomly selected from a list, and there is now a ramdomly selected quote below them.
Well, I got bored, and played with the links database a little, now it'll keep track of what links are getting hits, and order the links page based on the number of hits.
Well, I just got off the phone with register.com. Within the next 72 hours dragonwire.org should be transfered to register.com with a 2 year renewal :) Having static IPs is nice, I can do DNS stuff without worrying about the IP changing :)
Wow, haven't done much with this in the last couple... months... Not much has been going on, servers have been behaving well, got static IP addresses a month or two ago with our new ISP (Blarg) which was nice, now I don't have to worry about my IP address changing. Wireless is neat, have a linksys access point here now that I use for my laptop. Really haven't done all that much, oh well.

Oh yeah, that person that we hopefully hired, she quit after her second day at work. Then they hired somebody else, who didn't show up to their orientation, and SO... I'm still screwed as far as work goes. I could keep on going, but I'll save you the tedium of reading it.

Well, I got bored and did some coding and turned my header file for the site into a cgi file so that I could have the menu do nifty things as you change from page to page.
School is over now, I am VERY happy about this. I have one part of one final left to do, which I will do tomorrow, which is just to go in and configure a 5 router Cisco lab set up and then have the teacher check it to see that he can ping/telnet to each of the routers etc. Easy stuff like that ;)
I guess that's about it, I really haven't had much time to work on things for the site in the last couple months due to school and work, but FORTUNATELY I think they've finally found somebody to fill the open position that has been open since... oh... some time in late April/early May... With luck I'll be back to my "usual" work load soon :)

Oh yeah, I completely forgot to include a link to information on the 24 hour crunch! Here it is!
Guess what, it only took a little bit of additional reading and I FINALLY got printer sharing with Samba working complete with auto-downloading of the printer drivers from the server. It's NIFTY :)

The 24 hour crunch
So far we have 11 computers working here, once I get my laptop back, we'll have 12, and if I can get this machine I'm working on together, we'll have 13. I'm hoping to get 13~14 running for a 24 hour period to see how many KKeys/Sec we can do on the RC5 compitition. (info at distributed.net)

Well, bazil has been downgraded back to the K6-2 450 after it locked up last night with a SCSI error. (I could go into all the details on the history and why I am 98% sure it's the motherboard, but that's another story). In any case, I'll update the about page whenever I get around to it.
mmm... 900VA UPS for bazil... mmmm...
I've completely re-written my database admin script. It's mo' bettah now. Now to see if my update sub works... Yup
I'm having some fun, working on making a little IRC bot in perl using the Net::IRC module, so far so good.
Blame verizon for the downtime.

Well, I finally have the site up. Not sure right now what I will do with it quite yet. I *plan* to put up useful information on various things. Probably just end up being one of those 'oddities' sites. Oh well, can't have too many of them! :)
I needed to work out a couple kinks in the script (since I just stole it from another one of my sites, but needed to adjust the SQL stuff). There used to be a couple of 'testing' updates below, but I deleted them. Now off to the Links admin script!
